Bye Bye Blinkenlights

On Saturday, February 23rd 2002 we celebrated the farewell to Blinkenlights with a nice dance party in the Congresshalle am Alexanderplatz, the building next to the "Haus des Lehrers".

To our biggest surprise, many many people wanted to participate. It did take longer than an hour and a dazzling party was going on and the bar had problems handling the demand. Many thanks to all the helpful people that supported us in getting everything organized.

The spirit was high. This was mainly caused by our fabolous DJs: Rolle, Don Shtone and dem Team Rocket. Especially the girls of the last set were not able to come to an end and so the party lasted on until high noon.

The VJ proto.beamaz produced a mindblowing realtime video remix of blinkenlights visuals. This small excerpt of his work (MPEG-4 H.264, 13.2 MB) gives an impression of his art. This small video was actually done at 18C3. Music is by Electronic Welfare.
